So overall I like "I'm Broken" and "5 Minutes Alone" but besides that there's not much to this. And Phil is not an awful singer I listened to Cowboys From Hell and he sounded fine on that but here he sounds constipated. The lyrics suck and as a whiny goth hearing these lyrics about being manly and tough just makes me so irritated. Yeah it's fun to scream along to "I'm Broken" but after 6 tracks it gets old. He screams every lyrics and it gets old really fast. So positives the riffs are great, the solos are awesome, the bass lines are crisp, and the drumming is pretty good but then we get to Phil and man does he blow on this album. Because recently my dad bought Cowboys from Hell because he heard good reviews about it and I listened to it with him and it was pretty good, yeah they were Metallica clones but it was listenable but this one isn't ooh boy it isn't. OK so I have previously made numerous negative comments on Pantera calling them hacks and untalented but I take that back. OK well here is where I piss off everybody reading this so just for you to know I'm ready. Worst Song: "Good Friends and a Bottle of Pills" Screw this noise.Īlbum it dethroned: The Sign - Ace of BaseĪlbum that Dethroned it: Longing in Their Hearts - Bonnie Raitt Overall this album is truly the lowest of the low a boring, miserable record that proved just why we had to put Grunge six feet under and this album is the genre's decomposing corpse trying to be relevant. This whole album is basically one big Nirvana clone album I mean they even got In Utero producer Steve Albini and even he couldn't save this. I don't know if they just were having trouble coming up with stuff or they couldn't be bothered but man this thing is miserable. The album just moves on from song to song with nothing lyrics, non-existent hooks, boring production, and boring everything. And man is this the worst case of Sophomore Slump as this thing is as dull as death. So for a bit of background Bush was a Grunge/Alternative band, their debut album was pretty successful and this was their follow-up. Eh who cares let's get this over with.Īlbum it dethroned: That Doggfather - Snoop DoggĪlbum that Dethroned it: Tragic Kingdom - No DoubtĪnd the worst Rock album heck maybe the worst album in general to have topped the charts in the 90's goes to Bush's Razorblade Suitcase. So Here is every Hard Rock/Metal album that have. Great: An Album that is really entertaining and interesting and worth checking outĬlassic: An album that is near flawless and holds up to this day. Good: An overall entertaining album that while not entirely great can have some enjoyable tracks Mediocre: A bad/boring album by a good band that may feel lazyĪverage: An album that may satisfy once but mostly littered with filler and only saved by a couple of good tracks Rotten: Album with little to no merit not worth revisiting in the slightestīoring: An album that has no life or is actively dullĭated: An album that may have been good at the time but has aged terribly And for this list only I'm introducing tiers to divide things up because why not let's just throw every idea at the wall for this and the tiers are: Also this is only part one so most of these records suck. So finally after annoying with you some tournament poll thing I'm never touching again I'm doing it. So basically this list is looking at every hard Rock/Metal album to have reached the number one spot at Billboard 200 and yes there are a few I have missed but honestly 30 is a sweet number so leave me alone. It's here, it's here, it's finally here this stupid project I've been working on for four months and it's here and wow I regret every decision leading up to this but whatever let's get this stupid idea over with.
